A nice change! I visited Angkor Wat with my Japanese girlfriend, hoping to expand our culinary experiences and make the most of living in such a cosmopolitan city. We were hoping to do it cheap and we weren't disappointed - for 2500 yen each we had a load of different courses, all tasting great and with lots of prawns inside. The dessert of coconut ice cream with pumpkin cake was excellent and a great follow-up to the spicy prawn curry. A great place with very down-to-earth service and relaxed atmosphere. Just be careful - they will ask if you're full, you will think another dish is included in the course so you'll hint otherwise, and they will charge you for the extra dish. Apart from that, a great change and great food. Probably even better with a large group! [09 Aug 2002 10:05:43]
