A Pleasant Dinner Visited Bandol last night with a Japanese friend, and it turned out a very pleasant evening. Beside the à la carte menu they offer two course menues at ¥3,950 each (minimum 2 persons). The Bistro course consists of 8 different dishes, and the Bandol course is an appetizer, followed by a bouillabaisse and dessert.
We opted for the Bistro dinner, which was an appetizer dish (salmon paté, paté de campagne, and some greens), coquilles St Jacques, an omelette provencale, grilled fish and moules, sliced lamb, soft-boiled beef cheeks, a mixed green salad, and a French-style tiramisu or [another dessert dish that I don't remember].
With it we had a light Muscadet Sevre et Main at ¥2,800. However, the wine list has some quite serious French wines, with prices up to some ¥35,000.
It is located between the Ginza line Gaienmae and Aoyama-1-chome stations. Not exactly my area, but I have the feeling I will be back soon... [30 May 2001 01:33:55]

Chilled-out bar Has recently reopened as a wine bar. Still serving great food, but with a ton of top wine. Nice people as always. [28 Dec 2003 00:35:06]
