Peteys is definitely not the place
I would not recommend Petey's. I had made reservations for a party of 10. The waitress was not very patient taking our orders. She had spilled grease on one guest. At the end of the meal, the bill was presented immediately. Once the bill was paid, we were asked to leave. I told her we were not ready, she told us to go to the bar. Embarrassed by this situation, I contacted the owner whose only response was sorry and hung up on me.    [10 Apr 2005 19:49:44]

Old fashioned fun..
I enjoy eating at petey's - the food is excellent... and I really like the relishes they give you in the beginning of the meal. If you leave here hungry it is your own fault, because they offer quite a bit of food. I've always had great service, it is just a little cramped because it is an actual bungalow turned restaurant.    [09 Aug 2006 10:13:58]

Petey's is the best on the South Side
It is a smaller restaurant, so if you're looking for space it is not the place to be. If you're looking for excellent food at a good price with good service then it's the place to go. I would recommend their pork chops or any of their fish. Petey's cheesburgers are the best, guaranteed!!
